orchestrated this journey.
A month ago, Rev. Jerry Keller of Tabernacle Fellowship in Whiteland, Indiana felt the urging of the Lord to shift his early spring trip to Israel to join with Rev. Thomas Young’s trip in November. There could have been no way for us to know that Pastor Thomas would not be able to go. He is doing well and recovering at home after quadruple bypass and a heart valve replacement. Pastor Jerry so graciously and prayerfully approached this trip with carefulness of seeking what God would have of him. The Lord has since revealed that Pastor Jerry has picked up Pastor Thomas’ assignment for the hour at hand. And what an hour that is!
It has been a fight. A struggle, a pressing to get to this assignment. And that it is- a kingdom assignment. We believe that God has a specific prayer/obedience assignment for this hour. Can you not see it? With rockets streaming through her skies, this nation, that we had been shown how to love ever since Rev. Loran Helm’s first trips in the 60’s, needs our love, support and most importantly our willingness to deny self and obey the Father in this, one of their greatest hours of need. We must all take our “battle stations” and cry out for the peace of Jerusalem and all her peoples.
Do not assume that you are not connected to this. Do not be surprised by the battle. Cry unto the Lord and take up His weapons of warfare, which are not carnal. They are not of this world, but they are mighty in Him to the pulling down of such strongholds. Please pray for the pilgrims not to miss their assignment. Their kingdom assignments.
We were reading this morning from Francis Frangipane’s book, “This Day We Fight.” He writes of the difference between prayer and spiritual warfare. Prayer islike our own personal weapons. Spiritual warfare is "when The Lord requires us to exercise Christ's authority." He continues:
"In such cases, the Holy Spirit commands us to turn from the act of prayer itself and, in the name of Jesus Christ, confront the demonic power that has come against us… Exercising our faith is not presumption. Standing on God's promise when others flee is not foolish. We must pray with vision, courage and confidence; with equal confidence we must answer the call when the Lord summons us to stand and face our enemy. We do this by taking up the weapon of spiritual authority."Psalm 18:31-34 says:
“For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze."It's like we have a toy bow & arrow. God desires us to use His bow of bronze.
This morning we had impromptu prayer meeting. Pastor Thomas began praying that the group’s physical presence in Israel would go undetected. A covert operation, if you will.
Please pray as the group gathers in Philadelphia and flies out tonight that their assignments would begin on the plane. Let the adventure begin…
Thanks for sharing. We are praying for you all as you are in His Land. You are on Divine appointment.
